Description:

A nano cache tucked away in a quiet corner of Beachlands.Would recommend the lower side of the tide for this one, You can access the cache any time but access to the view is a couple of steps in shallow water in high tide.Known locally as “snapper rock” is a popular fishing spot. The path down is recently upgraded with easy to manage steps, although steep it’s not too long and shouldn’t be a problem for any age.Water is crystal clear and great for swimming (when the water isn’t so cold). The “rock” itself is great to explore and slowly disappearing! You are looking for a disguised nano cache with only a log sheet (bring a pencil)

Our log entry at geocaching.com:

Last for tonight 8:30pm

Cold, wet, dark, slippery mud… not ideal geocaching conditions … but managed to stay upright :) Both our GPS took us to the fork in the footpaths.. nothing obvious, look at the clue and a search of the area.. nothing.. Put GPS in pocket and decided to think like a geocacher.. nothing.. tried thinking like a 5yr old geocacher.. still nothing.. gave up and waited for Kathy to shout “found it” (I was looking under things a little smaller than the actual hide place)

our log entry at geocaching.com:

6:45pm 2nd for tonight (DARK!)

We only had time for a few cache hunts tonight and we are so glad that we were able to fit this one in . Who would have thought this place existed! looks like it’s been built for a purpose? Only ever thought it was the seated area at the top (Our youngest used to catch the bus home from here).

Cache was an easy find (although we did peek at the clue ) Camo worked perfectly and made it easy to re-hide . Was impossible to see without a torch but managed to get some long exposure photos of the area. :)
