our log entry at geocaching.com:

5:45pm First of our night
Had this on our to-do list since it was listed and so pleased we were finally able to do it! Sorry to hear the coin was stolen (had old printout of listing so only discovered there had been a problem when we got home!)

Light was still enough to see your way without a torch, but I would advise one, after slipping on the mud at GZ; pulled almost every muscle in my body trying to prevent myself landing *** over ***… But anyway… the view would have been worth it! a really nice little hideaway, will have to come back during the day.

Nice easy find once we relied on Kathy’s GPS (mine is useless under any tree cover) Perfect little hide – Thanks.

36° 54.916 E 175° 00.290
Placed: 5th June 2008
Geocaching.com: GC1CZ89

Description:

It’s all about the view!

This viewpoint is worth a look at any time of day, tide in or out, sun sets, night sky line. Please park at the top of the hill where you will find space is available. Stop for a minute or two and admire the view. You do not need to cross the road from where you park. Please use extreme caution if you choose to cross, this is the main coastal road, high speed traffic who are not on the look out for geocachers!

This should be a fun, easy find :)

Good luck :)

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

S 36° 55.917 E 174° 54.522
Placed: 4th June 2008
Geocaching.com: GC1CXNF

Description:

A Quack Quick find! Don’t forget to bring some bread for the ducks!

You are looking for a large 2.5L Lock&Lock container placed in a nice little storm water reserve, tucked away inside some busy urbanised surroundings.

WP1 should be an easy find and will reveal the final cache location. If you live locally, why not take a lunch break here (and share with the feathered locals )

Because of the container size, it’s an ideal drop/swap point for larger trackable/swag items. Contents when placed includes one of the largest Geocoins (please only take if you know a new home) and a special FTF prize

Contents when placed:
TB1EPQM: SIZE dosen’t matter
CITO bag dispenser
Basket ball (mini stress ball)
Mini Frizbee
Car sign
Wooden bracelet
Gel bracelets
Muggle cards
+ Surprise FTF prize to swap.
