People often travel through Whitford either going to or from somewhere and while they may stop at the local shops for petrol, ice-creams or a (great) Flat White they don’t seem to call into the Pohutukawa Park on the Whitford-Maraetai Road so we thought we would give people a reason (or excuse) to stop :)
Whit-Woods is located in the newly revamped reserve directly across the road the Pohutukawa Park playground, it’s a great little area that offers a breather from the hustle and bustle of life and traveling. There is plenty of parking available, seating is scattered along the short walkway that provides lovely views of the estuary and a there is a newly constructed footbridge that lets you amble from the park to the Whitford Wharf Road.
