spreading some love…

… 2008 wasn’t the best year for us so to head 2009 in the right direction we’ve decided to kick start it by giving away, rather than selling, some of our Translucent Green and Glow Kiwi Nomad Geocoins

you can read the full story at our online store Geocaching-Zone.co.nz: a smile, a surprise, all small thanks or just hit the terms and conditions below:

Over the next couple of months we are giving away 5 of these beautiful geocoins, the only catch being we wont be posting them to the recipients, we will be releasing them (from Auckland, NZ) into the wild so they can travel to their final destination collecting miles, memories and photos along the way!

If you would like to be the recipent of one of these very special geocoins, or you know of someone who would love to receive one, then send us an email to bee@geocache.geek.nz and let us know why. It might be as simple as you just love the idea of how it will travel, or you might want to give yourself a special treat or someone deserving a little gift of appreciation, you or someone you know might need a pick-me-up, a new geocacher might like one, or an old hand who could do with a little thanks, it really is quite open and if you’re no good with words then don’t worry it doesn’t have to be a novel ad sometimes photos do speak more than words so don’t hesitate to send us those as well :)

Who can nominate?
Anyone, but the recipient has to be a member of Geocaching.com
And yes, you can nominate yourself.

Who will the geocoin belong to?
The recipient will be the owner of the gifted geocoin.

How will it work?
We will email the recipient the tracking number and activation code of the geocoin, the recipient will then need to login to Geocaching.com activate the coin and set the mission for it (where it’s to go to, is there a particular cache you would like to see it end up at or close to etc, any special requirements etc).

They then email us back with the mission details, the url of the geocoin from Geocaching.com along with any special instructions they have.

We’ll then “grab” the geocoin from them, pop a travel assistant and the mission details (which we will put on Rite in the Rain paper) with the geocoin and pop it all in a nice hardly plastic bag.

At the first available opportunity we’ll then drop the geocoin in a cache, take some photos and then log that the geocoins is on the way. We can also send maximum resolution images to the recipients if they would like :)

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact us.

UPDATE: We will be selecting two recipients on Tuesday 3rd February 2009 so get your nomimations in quick!  All nominations are included in ALL draws so the sooner you get your entry in the more chances you have of becoming an owner of one of our special geocoins.

Recipients will be notified via Email and also published in our newsletter so keep an eye on your inbox.
