Current GOAL: As a Cowardly Lion, he likes the cover of bush (or jungle) so please only drop him in caches where he’s protect by native bush or the cache he is placed into is covered by nature (branches, bush, leaves, twigs etc). Photos would be appreciated, especially in his natural environment

Current GOAL: The true story of Tutanekai and Hinemoa considered to be the greatest Maori love story in New Zealands history and it’s still widely told today… it’s New Zealand’s very own Romeo and Juliet We’ve set Tutanekai (TB27HF0) and Hinemoa (TB27HFJ) out on a mission to share their story, they are to travel around New Zealand and Australia ONLY. They can travel together or separately but should they meet at any point please post a photo of them and where they are, especially if it relates to their story (lakes, oceans, music etc) or love

About this item: Tutanekai (TB27HF0) and Hinemoa’s (TB27HFJ) love story travels with them, it’s been included in each of their ketes, it’s a copy of the earliest account of the story as published in Sir George Grey’s ‘Polynesian Mythology’, first print in 1855.
In their individual kete’s you’ll also find a copy of the amended lyrics to Pokarekare Ana, New Zealand’s most famous Maori Love Song. Many versions of it exist, it’s believed that the original love song arose in the north of Auckland, then found it’s way to the East Cape, where it was modified into an action song telling of Paraire Tomoana’s 1912 courtship of Kuini Raerena. When it was amended to tell the store of Hinemoa and Tutanekai is unknown.
